Free were an English rock band, formed in 1968. Famed for their incredible live shows and punishing tour schedule, it was not until the release of "Fire and Water" that the band attained superstar status. The early 70's were heady times for Free, who were one of the biggest blues-rock bands in the world for a few years. Helped by their enormous track "All Right Now", they sold more than 20 million albums worldwide. Paul Rodgers is known as one of the best rock vocalists of all time, and upon the breakup of Free in 1973 he went on to form "Bad Company" with Simon Kirke on drums.
