Ringo does not need an introduction. He spent eight incredible years with the Beatles and although he has his critics, Ringo has enormous amount of respect from other drummers. During his time in the Beatles he contributed to many of the songs and wrote hits like ‘Yellow Submarine’ and ‘Octopus Garden’. After the Beatles he continued to work with the other members on most of their albums, including on George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass and John Lennon’s John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, as well as countless appearances on many other notable artists’ albums. More recently, in 1989, he formed Ringo Starr & his All-Star Band, which continues to tour today. In his all-star band he has had a host of successful musicians by his side: Joe Walsh, Jack Bruce, Dr. John, Randy Bachman and Levon Helm to name a few.
