McKinley Morganfield, known as Muddy Waters, was an American blues musician, generally considered the "father of modern Chicago blues". He was a major inspiration for the British blues explosion in the 1960s. The Rolling Stones are one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Formed in April 1962, they have made over 20 studio albums and sold over 200 million records worldwide. Achieving phenomenal success in the UK first, this was soon followed in the States. Their 1971 album "Sticky Fingers" started an incredible run of eight number 1 albums in a row in the US. They are still one of the biggest bands in the world, playing to huge audiences across the globe. The band were in Illinois about to start a three night residency at the Rosemont Horizon, part of their Tattoo You tour, and spent their rare night off with the man whose song lyric inspired the band’s name, Buddy Guy (who the Stones last collaborated with for Shine A Light) and Junior Wells.
